The annual KBPA Kaimuki Christmas Parade is a family favorite and we invite you to join us for our 73rd Parade on December 5th, 2019. The parade starts at 6:00pm from the entrance to Chaminade/St. Louis High School and travels up the hill eastbound to Koko Head Avenue. Come early and find a spot along the makai side of Waialae and enjoy the fun!

The parade is televised each year by OLELO and their cameras will be stationed in front of Central Pacific Bank at the corner of Waialae and 10th. In that area, you will also get to hear descriptions of the parade entries from the emcee, Mahlon Moore, who will be announcing from that location.  The television re-broadcasts will be announced in December and we'll post them here.

TRAFFIC AND PARKING - Because the eastbound lanes of Waialae are closed for the parade, traffic will be contra flowed in the remaining westbound lanes. But because of the reduced lanes, traffic is very slow and Waialae should be avoided during the time of the parade.  As for parking, your best bet is one of the two municipal lots off 12th Avenue. They fill up quickly, though, and you're urged to get there early to find a spot. Otherwise, street parking in neighborhoods on the makai side of Waialae is preferable.

After the parade, we urge you to enjoy dinner at one of the many terrific Kaimuki restaurants - but reservations are necessary at most.

Mahalo to our sponsors!

WE'VE ADOPTED KAIMUKI PARK

Our last clean-up was on Saturday, October 20, 2018 with over 40 volunteers who helped with brooms, rakes, paint brushes and elbow grease to spruce-up our park!

Throughout the year, we hold clean-ups at Kaimuki Park on Waialae Avenue, picking up litter, removing graffiti, painting, weeding and sprucing-up with lots of aloha!

CAN YOU HELP? If you'd like to help at our next clear-up,  send us an e-mail. Mahalo!
